Sorry, I was under the impression that this is still an "experimental"
feature.

It would be awesome to have a page, for example here:

saying "tcsh is no longer needed for builds later than milestone XX if
you prefer bash" so that the maintainers of the distro build guides have
something to link to when updating the guides.
