I disagree with that. If you want to keep traffic low, you can make it a moderated list, where only certain people can post. Like the council list. But the discussion should still be public.
Ok, I agree with you and I didn't know archives was not public.
So please, be patient with us, we will take care of this project too, but our days have only 24 h and some of us have also a day job, family, children and so on, like in the real life ;)
I can understand that. What I get from that is that this task should not have been taken to the Project Leads. If you take everything to the project leads, then the the PLs end up overwhelmed, and at the same time projects die out from stagnation. I think we should delegate tasks more.
This has came to PL because this will affect all project sites. This is not because we have a specifical powers, but only because currently, all the sites have the same rendering. And I'm sure you understand why this look and feed is quite the same.
So you can imagine that modifying the OOo home page will affect also the projects home page. This is why we have to be consulted.
All the colors, tables, pages we are using are the same throughout every sites. The site I'm taking care is about 225 Mb, contains 159 directories and 1 346 files, so of course, if I have to modify it, I feel concern ;)
