Perhaps it would have been wiser to choose a design that had more support by the people in this list. I don't think we should be surprised that Nicu (just to name an example) did not work on a design he clearly did not approve of.

People should have supported that whether they disagreed or not. Personally I had no problem with either design just as I have no problem with Emily's other than the timing. Do I consider it that much better than Martens? No!
Let's support Marten to get his one finished since that's the one that's being worked on. If we borrow a couple of elements from Emily's design then great. Just let's get it done. Louis was very strong on the timetable he laid out during the start of this process, that's been tossed out but ASAP should still be the target.
The buzz about 2.0 is out there. People are checking in to look it over before the release. The new website should be up NOW not just before the final.
