Just to be clear: your proposal is great Caty but I think it's not adapted for 
what I envision for the new xwiki.org.

I'd really like that we think about a community web site:
- a one line project description (ecosystem) with a link to "projects"
- a small space reserved to XE (just an image that can be clicked for ex)
- a large space reserved for the community as described below.
