You lmust turn on/off TV-out when loading the kernel frame-buffer driver. Depending on the driver version, it may be : modprobe viafb mode=720x576 bpp=32 refresh=50 TVon=1 TVoverscan=1 or "TV_ON=1" (resp. "=0") You may have the following in /etc/modules : viafb mode=720x576 bpp=32 refresh=50 TVon=1 TVoverscan=1 ...or your kernel frame-buffer driver is compiled-in and you're stuck...
