Scott,

I wish you would do something about making the removal of
transferred domains from the database a much higher priority
for OpenSRS. Like a critical melt down priority.

We had two more such domains show up today on the OpenSRS
Automated Daily Renewal Reminder list, saying the domains
had been deactivated and would be deleted if not renewed in
40 days.

We have all notices turned off from OpenSRS to our clients
for this reason. We would turn off the one day deactivation
notice for the same reason if we could.

We now must verify each domain on this list to ensure that
it is still with OpenSRS before sending out renewal notices.
This should not be necessary and is a waste of our
resources, but if we don't want to look like complete asses
by telling someone it is time to renew their domain with
OpenSRS through us when the domain name is no longer
registered with OpenSRS we must currently do this for every
domain name that comes up for renewal.

I can just imagine the reactions that we are going to
receive as OpenSRS sends the one day deactivation notice to
these domains telling them that the domain will be deleted
if they don't immediately pay up when the domains are no
longer with OpenSRS and can not be deleted by OpenSRS.

Talk about looking like a complete ass!

And yes, Charles, I know you and the staff are aware of the
problem and are working on it. You have been aware of it
for almost a year now, so the staff must not be working very
hard on it.

The time is now, the problem is crucial if you value your
creditability in the marketplace.
