I would like to stress that some fraudulent registrations are already on sale, f.i.
deutschland.info is on sale for $1.000.000.
Registrants also freely admit that they registered not according to the rules, f.i.
TISCOVER in Austria freely admits that they registered 1.500 domains with a 1899
trademark date.
If Afilias waits to sort out these domains until after the Landrush (if they ever do)
it
that just increases my suspection that they are not going to do this as scrutenizingly
as they should. After the Landrush it will be easy to hide any pre-Landrush regs for
Afilias by simple changing or hiding some whois data.
