We signed up with OpenSRS in December 1999 (at the very beginning). It
was my opinion then and is still today that OpenSRS/Tucows should perform
business/credit reference checks just like the other registries we do
business with. I first brought this up when Tucows was thinking about
extending credit to RSP's--there was a credit check app in that initial
batch of sign up forms that we filled out to get credit like we have with
our other business partners.
We would easily qualify for volume, length of time, etc., but I still
prefer the standard of reference checks.
