Just got a call from Equifaxsecure...seems that a quickcert I registered had an admin contact email that wasn't setup yet (new domain name)...thus all confirmation emails bounced (I knew this).
This support guy called, explained it, wanted to wait on the phone while I confirmed that the email was actually received, knew what he was talking about, and didn't need blood samples to prove authenticity. I obviously asked immediately about reseller program and have a busdev guy calling back. Just an FYI.... I echo Williams comment re: turning the market upside down. The businessID (the product they acquired from Equifax) has full support, since the CA cert they use for it is countersigned by Thawte. > Is this acceptable to you? Yes, it is. I'm no longer interested in catering to lowest common denominator. Progress has to be made. And you can provide instructions for those 10 percent to load the CA Cert manually and eliminate the warning popup. > And, now that Geotrust has acquired Equefax Secure, should we expect > QuickSSL to be implemented using the Equefax Secure root enabling a greater > browser acceptance? The BusinessID package has the full browser acceptance Equifax enjoyed, the others don't. But I'm happy with it as is. People need to embrace progress and move away from the older pre 4.7 versions of Netscape. -- Best regards, William X Walsh <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Userfriendly.com Domains The most advanced domain lookup tool on the net DNS Services from $1.65/mo
