Finally got one of our requests for registrar transfers (netsol to opensrs) denied! Reason was "Because your intent to Change the Registrar of your domain name, xx .COM, to Tucows, Inc. was not confirmed, Network Solutions/Verisign has instructed the Registry not to change the Registrar" - the client actually did approve the transfer (he moved from "Transfers a. Waiting Owner Approval" in the RWI to "c. Waiting REgistry Approval" - he also confirms he did approve).
So we are waiting to re-send the registrar transfer request, as per client's request. However, even though netsol informed this client about their rejection about 3 hours ago, we have not received notification ourselves that the domain transfer is rejected. the domain transfer still appears as pending in c. Waiting Registry Approval on our RWI, so i can't resend the transfer. How long do you think it will take before i can send a fresh request for registrar transfer (bit urgent, this)? other question: i used to think that the registrar would reject a transfer to another registrar because the expiry date was too close (expiry date for netsol actually means "your fees are due by this date," right?). but from reading this list, it seems domains can be transferred to another registrar even if they pass the expiry date of the losing registrar (this is what the 45 day rule is about?) so what would the reasons for rejecting a registrar transfer be? Also, is there anything to do that will guarantee the transfers? _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
