Hi

Recently one of my client requested me to register a domain name and later
did not pay up for it. When I requested the OpenSRS for deletion, it say,
(complete message after the email)

"Registrant reversed the charges on the domain
payment. Simply failing to secure payment from your customer after the
transaction is completed does not qualify for such action."

Why is the deletion of domain name credit card centric. There are many ways
in the world by which a person can make a payment, do we not know that or we
choose ignore them. In fact outside Europe and USA, credit card is as common
as a trip to moon.

Another point is faxing the request. Faxing the request from many countries,
including India is more costlier than the domain name itself.

I am sorry, but after paying the highest prices, we deserve better
treatment.

"Hello
OpenSRS can only explicitly delete a domain at the RSP's requst within 48
hours
of the Registration. In order to "deactivate" (Reg-Hold) a domain, the RSP
must
provide faxed proof that the Registrant reversed the charges on the domain
payment. Simply failing to secure payment from your customer after the
transaction is completed does not qualify for such action.

Fax copies of credit card chargeback from your merchant bank to:

OSRS Comapliance"
