It's very nice that you and most of us can keep uptime, but there are plenty of others who can't. Every week I deal with registrants whose reseller's is inaccessible or completely abandoned, for whom the manage interface is a godsend. Perhaps a better compromise is when they login, they are given the opportunity of going to the resellers site, or continuing to manage their domain there.
