You seem to think the domain-holder is the consumer for whom things should be made easiest.

I disagree -- the domain-ACCESSOR is the person who we should be considering.

Companies should be in .COM because that's where consumers will look for them. Individuals should be in .NAME because that's where associates will look for them.

Otherwise, we could just call them .1, .2, .3, and so on.
