Technically you are correct. But we try to provide a higher level of service than this and to treat our clients as we would like to be treated by them. :) And it is possible to forget to update an email address on a domain record, as clients do not deal with this everyday like we do and may not realize nor remember how important this is for them. So we try to find alternative email addresses that might reach them prior to deletion.
