So where in this melange of different systems is the interaction

I am often accused of pushing my own experiences onto public discussion of the definitions of certain things. But surely this is even beyond what I'm accused of, is it not? Attempting to redefine city planning and civil engineering as "interaction design?" This is the kind of thing -- this broad attempt to make the ultimate umbrella term -- is the very reason why "user experience" never worked.( What is user experience? It's everything!) If something aims to be everything, it's effectively meaningless for practical, day to day work.
