I found smit very helpful as I took over managing AIX after doing Berkeley
Unix, Sun OS, Solaris and also learning how HPUX worked. It was really
nice that it told you what command it had run. The one occassion when I
found that very useful was the day I was doing a task and smit failed. It
turned out that the commnad had many arguments and the order of some of
them was important. Smit generated a command with the arguments in the
wrong order. Once I noticed that feature I generated the command in
correct order and the day was happy again.
