I wouldn't buy a Dell computer under those circumstances. I'd buy from one of 
the many competitors in the marketplace whose rules I preferred.

Or, alternatively, I might think to myself, "Wow, this tight-fisted control 
Dell is wielding over what apps get into their marketplace, and are allowed to 
be install on their computer, has made them REALLY REALLY stable compared to 
their competitors" and I might suck it up.

But I certainly wouldn't think that anyone had the right to tell Dell that they 
*couldn't* do that. I'd let the free market decide whether that's a business 
model customers and software publishers are willing to live with.
