Ever notice how . and / are right next to each other on the keyboard? I had intended to do a chown -R username:group . while in a users directory, but alas, I fat fingered / instead.
After about 10 seconds I realized it was taking longer than it should have and realized what I'd done. No matter how much I tried to manually change things back to the way they were seemed to help, the system required a re-install. EVER since then i've been real careful about those two keys. Who put them next to each other in the first place! :) -Matt _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] https://lists.lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
