At my previous job, we rotated in the middle of a mid-day meeting (which I
think was not on Monday either, but it's been a while). This gave the
outgoing person time to deal with any morning crises, and offered them a
convenient venue to summarize and hand off any ongoing issues to the
incoming person. It worked fine.

Why do your co-workers think that Monday is a particularly good idea?
