Amen. mailing lists wait around for me to read them, Forums demand that I go and actively follow them. And what's worse, web browsers waste so much screen real estate, getting a nice readable high density display just doesn't seem to happen. Now if you can gateway a foum and a mailing list, I've got no problem...
