There has been some discussion by the board and tech team about forums,
mailing lists, how they relate, and what LOPSA should do to serve sysadmins

As for my own impressions, it seems that there are likely to be some folks
that will always prefer a mailing list while web forums are also serving
some very large communities these days. So forums probably deserve some
attention and testing. A web forum with a good email gateway sounds nice
but I'm not sure I have seen one that I like.

FUDForum has has a good NNTP gateway, and mailman does a good NNTP <> email gateway. the combination makes a reasonable triple access system.
