I've had my SqueezeBox3 for two and half years now and I absolutely love
it. The only thing I've always wished was a little bit better is the
performance. I'm talking about the speed when I scroll through menus,
artist and song lists and so on. However this didn't stop me from
buying a SqueezeBox Boom a few weeks ago and the first thing I notice
is that it is extremely fast in this aspect, exactly the way I want
it.

So why is it different? Well, I checked the CPU and it is the same.
Both are connected to my wireless network at home, and my SqueezeBox3
is only about 1 meter away from the router at the moment with 92%
signal quality, while the Boom is on a different floor with 87% signal
quality at the moment. What other factors are there affecting the
performance? The "problem" is that it is freezing for a few tenths of a
second every now and then when I'm scrolling and it doesn't help with a
different remote either. Any clues?

By the way the software version in my SqueezeBox3 is 123 and in Boom it
is 43.
