Were you unable to get the Duet receiver to play at all? I believe there is a "bug" with the Squeezeplay application that keeps it from playing when synchronized with other players. Believe that Softsqueeze should have worked, however. Also, the pc-hosted "software" players don't synchronize accurately - although hardware players synchronize well together. Your whole-house synchronized concept likely needs more "hardware" players around your house... the built-in user interfaces for synchronizing is rather ackward, but my understanding is iPeng in iPod touch has nice synchronization interface. Obviously, get your initial setup running, and then consider adding more players. Also, connect via wired ethernet wherever possible, as most issues arise due to wireless problems/interference.
