Anyone know of any particular chip sets that are ideally suited? And since we are on the topic of HDMI - what about a WiDi / Miracast implementation? So an ideal all digital device - transcoding only, no decoding - would have asynchronous usb, toslink, coax for digital only, and a good implementation of HDMI, and an IR blaster - all for less than $500... sound maybe doable?
