1. Synology or QNAP but ..
2. You would connect you PC and map a network drive to the NAS e.g. M:\
and then point your software at the appropriate place on M:\ rather than
C:\

Buts
Although Synology and QNAP have LMS apps they are both only semi
official and may require some fiddling to make them work (and
subsequently keep tjhem update)
An alternative option is a NAS (any decent one) working only as a NAS
and a Pi3 with piCorePlayer installed in LMS mode - you then point the
Pi at the NAS for its music folders. Easy and relatively future proof.
