This is what I have been using for some time now, and it works well.  

I used to run LMS on a QNAP NAS, but I found updates a hassle to apply,
plus firmware updates sometimes made changes that meant LMS stopped
working and I had to poke around to fix it. Can't really comment on
other NAS devices.
