I have been running LMS on Netgear Readynas for close to 10 years. It originally was fully supported but since Readynas OS6, support ( much like LMS today ) has been more community based. It works and the debian packages of LMS are the correct version, but a 'shim package' put together by a readynas community developer is required to make it work. There has not been any updates on that for a while, but it works with 7.9.1 just fine. There are many ways to run LMS, and if you need a nas for some reason, they serve as a server/storage platform that does not require much effort to run.
