Possibly the easiest, but if someone is prepared to consider configuring
a NAS then ease and cost might be in the balance. PiCorePlayer on a
Raspberry Pi might hit the sweetspot and therefore qualify as the "best"
asked for; being not too expensive, not too difficult to manage and very
reliable.
