See attached picture, I mounted the SB3 on the wall at the weekend
whilst the wife was decorating the Christmas tree :)

Took about 30-45mins. I printed out the template, cut out the dark
area and then traced this on to the wall. Then put masking tape around
the edges to protect the wall, and then using a Stanley knife and
careful patience, cut the hole. Finishing with a Rasp.

SB3 slotted in beautifully, I didn’t in the end use anything behind it
to hold it in place, the wall is plaster and lathes, and the lathes
held it perfectly in place, cable tied all the leads together and then
up into the attic space.

A DIY job that worked out very nicely and no nasty surprises for once!

For reference this is my complete kit list;

Ceiling speaker - £36.37
http://www.impactaudio.co.uk/product.asp?ref=550

No experience with ceiling speakers so nothing to compare against, but
this works fine and handles deep bass ok without distortion.
Note I don’t turn it up extremely loud, it’s the bathroom not the front
room! ;)

Acoustic Solutions SP101 Amplifier - £60 from Argos
http://www.acousticsolutions.net/product.asp?ID=92

Cheapest amp I could find, and is ok, does the job. Has 6 phono inputs
available, I have it balanced at 23.75db.

Speaker Cable – 42 Strand x 25Metres - £15

SB3 – Expensive and stung by Customs and Excise for tax :(
