Point well taken.  Again, I was just trying to compete with the NAS
proponents.

So maybe that FlexATX case with fans doesn't look so bad after all.

I've also found fanless ATX power supplies, but what's interesting
about them is that there has to be case ventilation, in fact above
average case ventilation, in order to use them.  So you might as well
use a PS with a fan in that case.

P.S. The cheap USB 2.0 enclosure for my backup drive doesn't have a
fan, but the case is aluminum and the HDD slides very tightly into it,
so it acts as a big heatsink.  Plus I only use it for ~15 minutes at a
time anyway.  It barely gets above ambient.  However when I formatted
it and did my first backup it got warm-to-hot.
