Hi Pat, It is my understanding that this is just how it works – people on the waitlist are not automatically notified when someone cancels and a spot opens up. I’m pretty sure that in the past I have had to manually email people to have them claim the ticket. It’s not ideal, and I have not figured out a way to change that.
If there is a way, I’d also love to know about it! ~ Amy Amy E. Say we have a workshop set up and we create 30 tickets. Those sell out and we then get a waitlist. Feeling ambitious, we create an additional 15 tickets. Alternatively, one of the people that got a ticket returns their ticket. In both cases, we noticed that people on the waitlist are not automatically contacted to take the available ticket - they have to be invited manually. In the mean time, someone else could come in and take an open seat even though there might be 30 people on the wait list. Is there a setting we’re missing or does anyone have a work around?
