There are some certs that I think actually stand for something, but most don't. And if I see someone has a particular cert, that will generally lead me to question them in more depth on that subject (if I have any knowledge in that area), to try to find out if they're a useless bullshit artist with certs, or someone who's actually somewhat competent who decided to add a cert on top of their skills, talents, and knowledge. But generally speaking, I don't hold a particularly high opinion of most certs, and I certainly wouldn't recommend or specify those things as part of a job description for a position I would be hiring for. -- Brad Knowles <[email protected]> LinkedIn Profile: <http://tinyurl.com/y8kpxu> _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
