In a sense, this user is right. In jaws, you can tap the shift key and it
will skip prompts. This way, you can bypass stuff that you don't need to
hear. Also, reading messages in mail does take a million years as compared
to jaws because it announces way too much information. In outlook express, I
can bang through about 100 messages in 30 minutes because I can very quickly
hear the name, subject, and whether or not it's collapsed or expanded. Vo
reads something like "disclosure triangle expanded, unread, date, name,
subject." Way way way too much info. I can see this person's point, but not
worth giving up the mac for. Until there is some kind of vurbosity setting
like in Jaws, I'll stick to outlook express on windows because of the speed
factor. Don't get me wrong, I love Vo and mail. I use it all the time. But
for extended email checking, outlook wins out.
