i am confused here
with windows when i copy and paste files onto the iPod, i jsut copy and
paste the files onto it and the i pod wiht rockbox sees the files no
problem, if the macintosh can't do what i need theni worried about using mac
maybe using the xp side of macintosh with an i pod is the way to go

Tim, you are correct, although you can copy files to the Ipod in disk-
mode, the Ipod will not see them in its database because in order to get
there, Itunes has to include it and that is the program that controls the
database.
This is the problem and if Itunes were accessible, it would make it much
easier to work with an Ipod, but of course if the Ipod itself were
accessible, it would help quite a bit. You know a little Tiger running on
it with VO would be the way to go. grin

Disk mode. The problem with Disk mode is that I'm pretty sure that the
items you copy when in Disk mode cannot be seen by the iPod's music
player. I would check things out further before making the investment
if I were you.
