it doesn't install irsii when you install irssix.

It may be a front end to irse, but when I download and install it, it runs
just fine.  I guess it installs irse too?

irssix is only a frontend to irssi.  either way a worthy client, although
having a frontend means my favorite reason for using irssi is moot - using
it with screen so i can access the irc client from anywhere.
