You asked: I'm wondering if there is a way for us to place folders on
the dock. I tried the VO drag and drop feature, but had no luck. Now
that you can have stacks show up as a list, I wouldn't mind having
some folders down there, specifically the applications folder. Any
thoughts?

You must run this in terminal and it does work. I am able to add
folders and documents to the Dock but have not yet determined how to
add a web address. It is not a difficult command to work with but if
you're not a Terminal savvy person, I wouldn't suggest trying it.
