Really? I remember you as lying your proverbial arse off and not coming
up with a tangible explanation as to why, with a recently purchased
MacBook Pro and iMac, you needed to gain additional hardware for free.
Maybe you care to elaborate here? We're still awaiting your response
over on the LEM Mac UK list.
Below is one example of the messages Lewis decided to present to us on
the "evil" LEM lists:

Hi all
OK I'm sorry to have to post this message again on list but now I am
in serious need of a working G3 blue and white mac or iMac slot
loader. my G3 beige desktop 266 has died last night after 10 years of
faithful constant use with my screen reader software, OS 9.2 and my
scanner kit for translating documents into braille for the embosser.
Now I'm completely stuck. I've had to borrow an emergency powermac to
help me until I can find a mac to save me.
I rely 100% on the mac system as it is the only platform with true
accessibility and outspoken being the screen reader I've used for so
long. I'm writing in the hope that someone could help me with either
an iMac slot loading or G3 blue and white or basic G4 tower.
something basic that can take the parts I have from my dead 266 mac as
well as my recording cards. sadly I've no finances to cover a mac and
am in desperate need of anyone's help. can someone save me please?
I'm not asking for the world. just someone to rescue me. I dont know
what to do now and I'm effectively out of action. I cant use my
scanner for translating documents etc nor my embosser or braille
display.
if you can help me then contact me please off list at [EMAIL PROTECTED]
with thanks
