I have been assured by Apple that the suggestions I've sent to them will be taken into consideration in future releases. So we will have to keep our pulses to Apple's website and monitor future bug fixes. It does this at random and all I suggested was that a warning or an alert be used asan option, to either be turned on or off, to interrupt speech long enough for the time to be announced, and once announced, the reading will be resumed, with very little user input.Again, this option can be turned on or off; in other words, you don't have to use it, if one feels he/she doesn't need it. Actually what I've noticed is at times they can speak at the same time with neither interrupting the other. This is random so it is possible, but something is causing the speech processes to step on each other. And this is why I'll be pestering Apple again and again about this.

Well that's a bug that needs fixing. Yes, that's what happened. I changed the voice to Victoria for the time announce. And then Alex rudely cut her off before she could say all of 3:30. Victoria only said 3 and was cut off by Alex.

Is that true also if you set a different voice for the time? I set Kathy for that function. So if Alex is talking, will Kathy just talk also at the same time? Or will Alex stop so Kathy can talk. Or if Alex is talking,
will Kathy not be heard saying the time at all?

I guess I'm going to find out in about 4 minutes!

Thanks for this info, by the way. I never knew about it. handy little item
to know.

setting
this in date and time in system prefs.

Enjoy!
