Mike, when Skype is running, go to the dock (with VO-D) and locate
Skype.
Use your up / down arrow keys (providing the dock is in its default
position) to open its menu. Here you will find an option which says
'Keep in Dock'
Pressing return on this will do just that.
Now when you close Skype, you'll still see an icon for it in your
dock, and will be able to run it from there.
