personally no, sorry, but isn't the security issue only with Microsoft
Office? If things were as you say, what you have is an expensive
program which says it password-protected a file but didn't, that is a
huge security bug. But I suspect the files are NOT password protected
at all and there is something else going on. Something like this would
have made prime time news. And if you google for "openoffice MS
password protected documents" you'll find lot of reports to the
contrary, that is of OpenOffice users who _cannot_ open
password-protected MS files.
