I have been using OOo since it was Star (?) in Germany and have followed
updates through the years. I was very pleased when the "Save as PDF"
function was added. I use that function very frequently. My problem
arose when suddenly OOo in Vista refused to save as PDF. This had
happened before in XP, but no one in the OOo community knew how to
repair it. In XP I removed everything having to do with OOo and
reinstalled. It worked fine for a while. In Vista there were just too
many hidden inaccessible bits and pieces, so I never did get it working
again. I now have a dual boot XP + Ubuntu 9.04. OOo works fine in U, but
it just quit saving as PDF in XP again. Once again I deleted everything
I could find and reinstalled (from a new download). This time it did not
come back to saving as PDF. I am sure there is some setting I can
twiddle, but I don't know where it is. Evidently many other people do
not know either, because I have been asking for help for a very long
time and there have been no answers.
If there is someone out there who knows how to fix this, I would very
much appreciate your assistance.
