Could you tell us what is happening? I mean what happens when what you do.
Steps
1. Start Writer and type some words.
2. Choose File - Export as PDF
3. Press [Export] at the bottom of the dialog "PDF Options"
4. Name a file name and press [Export]
What does happen?
a) Nothing seems to happen, and a desired PDF file does not exist.
b) A dialog window appears saying "bara bara bara bara..."
b1) What does it exactly says?
b2) Is there any choices other than [OK]?
c) Nothing seems to happen, and a desired PDF file is created;
but an attempt of opening the file fails with a dialog window appears
saying ...
d) something else

- What version and language of Windows are you currently using?
- What version of OpenOffice.org are you using?
- What language version of OpenOffice.org are you using?
- How frequently does the problem happen?
a) Always
b) Sometimes succeeds; sometimes fails.
- What type of document does have a problem?
a) Any type of documents, including Writer, Calc, Impress, ...
b) With certain type of document, the problem only happens.
- When does the problem (such as a dialog window) happen?
a) It happens right after you click on something.
b) It happens a few seconds after you click on something.
- Do you remember any special things which you or somebody did to your
computer before the problem happens?
- Anything else
To help you, we would need to share information about what is currently
happening.

I have been using OOo since it was Star (?) in Germany and have followed

arose when suddenly OOo in Vista refused to save as PDF. This had

again. I now have a dual boot XP + Ubuntu 9.04. OOo works fine in U, but
it just quit saving as PDF in XP again. Once again I deleted everything
I could find and reinstalled (from a new download). This time it did not
come back to saving as PDF. I am sure there is some setting I can
twiddle, but I don't know where it is. Evidently many other people do
not know either, because I have been asking for help for a very long
time and there have been no answers.
If there is someone out there who knows how to fix this, I would very
much appreciate your assistance.
