That is the reason that The Document Foundation and Libre Office came
into being. At the present time the two products are very similar, but
they are gradually growing apart. Everyone will have to wait and see if
in another 6 months or a year one or the other is clearly superior. I
suspect that LO not being a part of anyones corporate ecosystem will
improve the most in the next year.
