I don't consider those to be "contribs". Contribs add functionality in my opinion. If the spam protection provided by SME Server is not sufficient or not effective then that is a bug. Consider the 3000+ bugs that have been "CLOSED/FIXED" by volunteers and how that has benefited everyone including you I'm sure - http://goo.gl/4qUQ9 Greg
