I think contribs.org should be for freely distributed contribs, if you want
to sell contribs or start an app store business, you can always use another
domain name.  If you have a financial interest in selling addons to the
distribution, you by default should have an interest in keeping the
distribution active and supported.  Contribs.org does need some money to
keep Shad's internet/electric bills paid, but I think above that amount
more appreciation seems to be paid to contributing to development of the
base software.

I don't like the idea of anyone selling "contribs" that fix the existing
functionality of SME Server.  I don't consider those to be "contribs".
Contribs add functionality in my opinion.  If the spam protection provided
by SME Server is not sufficient or not effective then that is a bug.
 Consider the 3000+ bugs that have been "CLOSED/FIXED" by volunteers and
how that has benefited everyone including you I'm sure - http://goo.gl/4qUQ9
