Maybe he thought he doesn't have enough time to start this sort of beaurocracy now. If we think that we can actually pull off this funding, in a timely manner, then *we* can offer this option to him. These were not my words, so I wasn't the one putting these words in his mouth - maybe you're responding to someone else. In his mail Stallman didn't say he's coming to the PA instead of Israel because the Palestenians "need" his lecture more. Rather, he says that his *original* plan was to go there, and the Palestenians invited him and paid for his trip.
