Another way to go would be to use the internal DAC in your AVR/Amp/PreAmp that has coax or optical inputs. You can use a USB to optical/coax converter, NuForce has one selling for $99. http://www.nuforce.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=33:u192s&Itemid=185. I haven't tried this, but it may work. Still no solution for charging.
