Wow - plenty to look at there. I don't think I've ever clicked on the that help button before.
After a quick skim through, I reckon all I'd personally be interested in for my headless pCP would be: mixer volume 100 mixer volume +2.5 mixer volume -2.5 mixer muting play stop power (is there any benefit to using the direct command versus the simulated button press?) The volup and voldown buttons currently on VOL+ and VOL- use an increment of 2.5 (the 0-100 internal scale mapped onto the player's displayed scale of 0-40), but if the mixer volume command was used instead it might offer the possibility of having different increments, e.g. +/-5 so that the buttons respond more quickly. I'm not sure that the stop command would add anything (is a paused player any different from a stopped player?), but it might be useful in some cases. Personally I might configure my 6 buttons as: SW1) 'power' (or 'button', 'power') SW2) 'button', 'next' SW3) 'mixer volume +2.5', with 'mixer volume 100' on the long press SW4) 'pause', (maybe with 'stop' on the long press). 'pause' with no parameter is a toggle, so it acts as a pause/play button SW5) 'mixer volume -2.5', with 'mixer muting' on the long press. 'mixer muting' is a toggle, so long press to mute, another long press to unmute SW6) 'button','prev', with 'play' on the long press (i.e. short press to play the previous track, long press to restart the current track) [image: http://www.cjh.me.uk/MyPhotobucket/cache/DIYHifi/DLCP%20Project/RPi%20button%20board%203v1.0_512.jpg] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ chill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10839 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107001 _______________________________________________ diy mailing list diy@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/diy
