Re the conspiracy angle, I saw bounces from Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, Comcast, and nobody else. Draw your own conclusions.I find this statement disappointing. You know better.
Like I said, I just counted the bounces. I doubt I'm the only one doing so.
I would also have some concern that this is in effect an attempt to force peole to move their lists to Yahoo's proprietary Yahoogroups service. No doubt that's not what they say they intend, and it may well not be their motivation, but the dots are there to be connected.
