The world of today appears to have a problem with the definitions created
by the world of over 30 years ago. For some operators that have tried to
live within those definitions, it has become much too expensive to live
with the status quo, much as people would really rather prefer they did.

That tension needs a resolution. We appear to be seeing what happens when
an immovable object is hit by one or more irresistible forces.
