When installing HSF's, its always a good idea to scrape off the thermal pad
that is on the unit.  Then clean it with a little rubbing alcohol, and
acquire some good thermal paste, like Arctic Silver 2 (its cheap too).  This
allows for optimal heat transfer between the heatsink and the cpu as the
standard thermal pads perform quite below what most people consider "good".
